This is another test post, to see how this program works. However, for posterity, this is actually the first picture I took of Rover the moment he got into my car on the night I adopted him. The bag on the left were his worldly possession. That, plus me! He has me, heart and soul!
Success Story ā Desensitization to Balloons!
Full disclosure: this website is only at the very beginnings of being developed, and this story is not really a published blog. Iām using it as a place holder while I learn how to use the template. In the meantime, the teaser here is true. The dog our of sight below, Maggy, was afraid of balloons. Not the sight of them, but the sound.
After I inflated the balloons, Maggy was removed to a far away place, out of range from hearing the balloons pop. I popped the balloons and recorded the sound. Then, as a very low volume, through a blue tooth speaker, I gradually desensitized her and counter-conditioned her emotional response to the sound of balloons popping. It was a good time for all!
